I collect the beanies and have several of the small, minis, but I prefer the beany buddies. I also have some of the Boid's bears, cats, and mice. Otherwise, I just have lots of assorted stuffed animals. I also collect the large and small ty trolls. I've found you can find a lot of this stuff on ebay for fairly cheap.

So are any of these designed to look like the real animals or are they all artistic or abstract in design? I've heard that Teddy bears don't look like real bears.

some are artistic bears, others are realistic, depending on the manufacturer you buy from. cosen for example, do anatomically correct bears, as do Hansa, Stief do correct bears too, as well as their limited edition ranges, Dowman are cuddly creators, they make cuddly versions of bears, which look like the real thing to some extent, charlie bears though, they are mostly artist bears, though very cute for all that. hth. and paws up from all the bears too.

and beanies are bags of beans in the approcimate shape of bears etc.

ok here is another question. do collectors pose their plush? meaning, do you put your animals into poses, or postures so they are doing things? mine are often hugging each other, mothers hugging cubs, and cubs hugging adult bears. plus one bear will often play with another's hind paw. or even with their own hind paws. some of my lions and tigers also protect cubs, though due to their structure they can't do much.

i have a large collection of animals, mom won't let me get any more, not big on bears, i prefer horses, dragons unicorns, and other various animals, three favs are my stuffed leopard, my stuffed wolf, that is just to look nice, i don't play with it cuz of the way it's made, and a pink ty unicorn, charmer, but the larger version, also have a larger version of magic the dragon. as well as a bunch of benies, hello beni community! this is fun.

Here’s a list of my plush!

Appa-from Avatar the Last Airbender
Katara-Dark blue bear with light blue, white and orange peace symbols all over her
Monica-A white teddy bear with green shamrocks all over her

Hi! I’m a huge Build-a-bear fan and plush animal and doll collector! I recently donated a lot of my collection to kids who needed them, but I still have some left. It felt good to give back! The kids enjoyed getting some new friends and I know they’re going to good homes.

I’ve made a lot of bears at build-a-bear over the last few years. Most of them were for a project I was doing for our local hospital, but I did make about twelve for myself over time. I’m also a big collector of Disney plush as well!

Katara doll-from ATLA

Disney Plushies:

Lady
Lilo
Blaze
Kiara
Bagheera
Dinah
Sebastian

Dolls:

Princess Ariel
Princess Jasmine
Princess Tiana-a gift from my best friend!

How about The rest of you? What are some of your favorite plush that you own or have owned?
